Rohl, 36, was appointed by the Owls back in 2023. He has since done an impressive job at Hillsborough.
He has shared this update regarding his future, as per an interview with German news outlet Bild: “If it were up to me, as soon as possible (to leave). The Bundesliga is obviously something special because I grew up with it. For me, it’s always about working at the highest level.
“I want to compete against the best teams, with the best coaches. I have the good feeling that I’ve been able to generate significant added value over the last 18, 19 months in a demanding league with very different playing styles.”
He added: “I see the interest from clubs as validation of my work. There were enquiries last year, too, even from Germany, from the Bundesliga. It feels good that my name is constantly being mentioned both here in England and in Germany. But I also know that football is fast-paced. The last 18 or 19 months are no reason to rest. I remain very, very ambitious. And I’m always ready to work hard. We’ll see what happens in the summer.”

Sheffield Wednesday latest regarding Danny Rohl
Sheffield Wednesday’s decision to bring in Rohl turned out to be a masterstoke. SWFC lured him to South Yorkshire to replace Xisco Munoz and he has since adapted well to life as their number one.
Prior to his move, he had spells in the backroom staff teams at Southampton and Bayern Munich. He also worked with the Germany national team.

The German arrived as a bit of an unknown quantity. However, he managed to keep the Owls up in the second tier against the odds in his first campaign at the helm.
His team then competed higher up the league in this past term. They flirted with the play-offs for a bit before falling away.
What now for Sheffield Wednesday and Danny Rohl?
Sheffield Wednesday’s off-field issues have been well documented and it seems inevitable that Rohl will depart. He remains at SWFC for now though but for how much longer remains to be seen.
The Owls published their retained list last month and confirmed that Stuart Armstrong, Ben Hamer, Ryo Hatsuse, Michael Ihiekwe, Marvin Johnson, Pol Valentin and Mallik Wilks have all left. Meanwhile, Loanees James Beadle, Ibrahim Cissoko and Shea Charles have returned to their parent clubs following loan spells.
In addition, Barry Bannan, Akin Famewo and Callum Paterson have been offered new deals. One-year options on Anthony Musaba, Michael Smith and Josh Windass have also been exercised.
