Beto’s Everton departure now looks like it could be about to come to fruition after several weeks of transfer speculation.
The striker showed renewed promise last term, notching eight Premier League goals across the campaign, but that has done little to cool the suggestions that David Moyes could be keen to upgrade on him.
Everton are understood to have previously received an offer from Fenerbahce for the 27-year-old, while Leeds United have also been linked with a potential swoop.
Moyes will be desperate to strengthen his hand ahead of the upcoming season, and that will mean he will undoubtedly have to face several key calls on players like Beto before the window draws to a close.

Atalanta are eyeing move for Beto
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure places even greater emphasis on the Toffees upgrading their attacking options this summer.
However, the Merseysiders could be prepared to allow one striker to leave the club just as soon as another arrives, with Beto now drawing interest from Atalanta.
The Serie A outfit have drawn up a list of potential striker targets, with Beto one of those they are tracking, according to L’Eco di Bergamo.
Ivan Juric’s side are also believed to be keen on Evan Ferguson and Rodrigo Muniz, while Giacomo Raspadori has emerged as a potential option on the domestic front.
At the moment, Atalanta are thought to have a stronger interest in Ferguson and Muniz, but a move for Beto is a possibility that cannot be ruled out.

Everton may have to let Beto leave if Atalanta make an offer
If Atalanta did make a move for Beto, it could result in Everton having their decision made for them as far as the striker’s future is concerned.

Portimonense | 44 | 13 | 2 |
The Guinea-Bissau international became a key player under Moyes at the back end of last season, but he would surely be tempted by the prospect of playing Champions League football in Bergamo.
Atalanta have made remarkable progress as a club in recent years, and they continued to punch above their weight last term, when they finished third in Serie A.
That saw them land a place in Europe’s premier club competition once again, and it would surely be difficult for Beto to reject their advances, if they choose to make a concrete offer at any point.
Assuming that the frontman would be keen on a move back to Italy, it would make sense for Everton to sanction his exit if Atalanta did come in with a bid, as it could see a difficult decision be taken out of their hands.
