Jack Butland and Danilo Pereira both responded as new additions were made to Rangers’ set-up ahead of next season.
Rumours are already swirling around the Gers’ potential transfers, especially after 49ers Enterprises‘ takeover, led by Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh, and multiple deals have gone through.
Todd Cantwell gave his stamp of approval on Max Aarons’ arrival, with Joe Rothwell and Emmanuel Fernandez joining Lyall Cameron at Ibrox as Russell Martin begins a rebuild.
While Barry Ferguson was quick to win over the supporters, his results were not enough to keep him in the job for next season, with the former Southampton man being brought in.
With Leon Balogun, Ianis Hagi, and Tom Lawrence all leaving on free transfers this summer, there is still work to do in the transfer market, but the manager has made some key additions to his own team behind the scenes.

Russell Martin makes key additions to backroom staff
Taking to Instagram (3 July), the official club account wrote: “We can today confirm the following appointments to the men’s first-team coaching staff.
“Mike Williamson has joined the club as first-team coach, while goalkeeping coach Salvatore Bibbo will also join Russell Martin’s staff,” gaining likes from Butland and Danilo.
Rangers to utilise summer transfer market ahead of next season
Football Insider verdict
Supporters are not overly excited about deals for Rothwell and Fernandez, or even Aarons, but it is important for the Gers’ squad to be rebuilt ahead of next season.
Football Insider understands that Rangers have received a £20million injection in the form of new share issues, and that could certainly help the new manager out this summer.
It is no secret that the squad has been ageing for a number of seasons now, with the likes of Butland, James Tavernier, Robin Propper, and Cyriel Dessers playing key roles in the last campaign.

In addition to this, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Hamza Igamane is closing in on an exit from Rangers, with Ligue 1 clubs fighting West Ham and Everton for the striker’s signature.
The new squad could have been built around the 22-year-old forward, but with the price tags being floated about, it would be no surprise to see him leave very soon.
Martin will need to ensure there is a balance of youth and experience for his first season in Scotland, and with several new links emerging each week, there is no telling what the squad will look like.
