FC Twente transfer chief Jan Streuer insists Robin Propper will be welcomed back to the club with open arms ahead of the Dutchman’s crunch talks to decide his Rangers future.
The centre back has been heavily linked with a return to the Eredivisie side after just one season at Ibrox where his performances were hampered by injury and lack of consistency.
Gers reported back for first team training at Auchenhowie on Monday as new boss Russell Martin gets down to work.

FC Twente are in the market for defenders this summer following Sweden international Gustaf Lagerbielke’s return to Celtic at the end of his season long loan.
The Enschede-based club are closing in on the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Israeli centre half Stav Lemkin, who has just returned from a loan spell at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
But technical director Streuer insists that won’t scupper any deal to bring Propper back to the Netherlands.
Speaking to RTV Oost, he said: “I’m not saying that at all. We were interested in Pröpper and he is very welcome.
“He was also very welcome at the Rangers training today. Of course he still has a contract there.
“We’ll wait and see. There was a lot of pressure on him to come back.
“We’ll wait and see, he has to be one hundred percent behind it himself.
“We hope he can come, that’s not entirely certain yet. We have to wait and see. It’s what I say: He’s very welcome with us.”
