CHARLTON ATHLETIC HEAD COACH HILLS SIGNS NEW TWO-YEAR DEAL
Charlton Athletic head coach Karen Hills has signed a two-year contract extension with the club ahead of the new season.

The Addicks announced the news this afternoon via a post on their official club website.

Hills has been in her current role for almost two-and-a-half years. She has overseen a massive transformation with Charlton Athletic going from part-time strugglers to full-time promotion-chasers. The Addicks are yet to achieve their main aim of promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League but they will be hoping to do that with current boss Hills in the next two seasons.

After signing her new deal, Hills said “I am happy with our recruitment this summer and I think we are heading into this new campaign with a strong group, every single player has worked hard over the summer and now we are all raring to go to take on Sheffield United.”

Charlton Athletic will be hoping to kick-off the new season against Sheffield United in front of a bumper crowd at The Valley on Sunday afternoon. The South East Londoners are quietly confident of achieving big things this year and they could have the benefit of a large crowd this weekend off the back of England’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 success this summer.
