Trevan Sanusi, a former winger for Birmingham City, has joined Newcastle United, completing another academy acquisition for the team.
Sanusi announced on Friday night that he was leaving Birmingham City after deciding to join Newcastle’s academy.
‘The Secret Scout’ also posted a picture of Sanusi sporting a Newcastle jersey at St James’ Park on social media.
Sanusi indicated in a message that he was leaving Birmingham: “It’s the end of a chapter.”I would want to use this opportunity to let you know that I have chosen a different course for my development away from @bcfc. I’d want to express my gratitude to the entire staff, my teammates, and my supporters for their assistance over the past 11 years. “I wish @bcfc the best of luck and will always be grateful.”

Sanusi was once more the first to respond when the right-back confirmed his arrival at Newcastle: “Toon Army.”

The 16-year-old, who was a substitute in Birmingham City’s final Championship game of the previous campaign, also drew interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, but he has decided to go on to Newcastle.

For the 2023–24 season, Sanusi will join Newcastle’s Under-18 team.
